Errly Terms of Service
Effective Date: August 2026
Last Updated: August 25, 2026
Please read these Terms of Service (“Terms”) carefully before using the Errly mobile application and related services (collectively, the “Services”). By accessing or using the Services, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Services.
1. Eligibility and Age Requirements
- You must be at least 13 years old to use the Services, create an account, subscribe, or make in-app purchases.
- If you are between 13 and 16 years old and located in the European Union, you may use the account and subscription features in semi-restricted mode as described in our Privacy Policy.
- Users under 13 may not use the Services. A neutral age gate at first launch blocks access before any data collection, analytics, or advertising SDK initialization.
- By using the Services, you represent that you meet the applicable age requirement.
2. Description of Services
Errly is an AI-assisted math learning tool. The Services allow you to:
- Take or select photos of math problems.
- Receive OCR text and AI-generated step-by-step explanations.
- Save, organize, and review errors in a personal notebook.
- Track topic-level mastery and receive review reminders.
- Subscribe to premium features such as unlimited storage, priority processing, and PDF export.
3. Accounts and Registration
- Account registration is optional for users 13 and older. Core learning features are available without an account.
- If you choose to register, you may use email or third-party sign-in (Apple/Google).
- You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials.
- You may delete your account and all associated data at any time from the Settings page. Deletion is completed within 72 hours.

4.2 Billing and Renewal
- Subscriptions are billed through Apple App Store or Google Play at the start of each billing period.
- Subscriptions automatically renew unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.
- You can manage or cancel your subscription through your Apple ID or Google Play account settings.
- We do not process refunds directly. Refund requests must be made through Apple or Google Play in accordance with their policies.
4.3 Free Trial
- The Pro plan may include a 3-day free trial for eligible users.
- If you do not cancel before the trial ends, your subscription will automatically convert to a paid subscription.
- You may only use one free trial per product tier unless otherwise permitted by Apple/Google policies.
4.4 Fair Use
- “Unlimited” usage is subject to a Fair Use Policy.
- In extreme cases of automated or unusually high-frequency usage, AI explanations may be temporarily delivered in a more concise format to protect service stability. This does not reduce your access to accurate, step-by-step solutions.
- Fair Use is reset daily and is designed to prevent abuse without affecting normal educational use.
4.6 Android Invite Rewards
- Errly may offer an invite program on Android only: when an Android user invites a friend who joins and activates Errly on Android, both may receive a limited-time in-app benefit. The iOS app only supports ordinary sharing and does not provide invite codes, progress tracking, or rewards.
- Invite rewards are in-app benefits only. They are not cash, not redeemable for cash, and have no monetary value.
- Free Pro access is capped per account. Across your entire account lifetime, free Pro access from all sources combined (store free trial or Android invite rewards) is limited — receiving one means you will not receive another.
- Rewards are granted only after the invited person completes the required activation step. Creating an invite relationship alone does not grant a reward.
- Eligibility conditions apply, including but not limited to: the invited person must be a newly registered, non-anonymous account; each device may be used to redeem an invite code only once; and there are limits on how many rewarded invites a single account may accumulate. Reaching a limit does not disable your invite code — your friends can still use it, you simply stop receiving further rewards.
- Credit-type rewards expire if unused within the period stated when they are granted.
4.7 Anti-Abuse and Revocation
- We may revoke rewards that have already been granted, disable access to the invite program, and/or suspend accounts where we detect abuse of the invite program or of any other promotional benefit.
- Abuse includes, without limitation: creating accounts for the purpose of redeeming your own or coordinated invite codes; automating registration or redemption; circumventing device or frequency limits; and misrepresenting identity to obtain rewards.
- We will apply these measures proportionately, and revocation of a reward does not by itself affect any subscription you have paid for.
4.8 Price Changes
- Subscription prices may change. We will notify you in advance of any price change, and your continued subscription after the change constitutes acceptance.
5. Acceptable Use and Academic Integrity
5.1 Permitted Use
You agree to use Errly only for legitimate educational purposes, including:
- Checking your own work.
- Understanding problem-solving steps.
- Reviewing and mastering previously missed problems.
5.2 Prohibited Use
You may not use the Services to:
- Complete academic assessments, exams, or homework that your instructor expects you to solve independently.
- Submit AI-generated work as your own without authorization.
- Reverse-engineer, scrape, or automate the app in a way that abuses the Fair Use policy.
- Upload content that is illegal, abusive, hateful, or infringing.
- Circumvent security measures or attempt to access data belonging to other users.
5.3 Learning Mode and Check Mode
- Learning Mode is the default experience. It presents guided explanations before revealing full solutions.
- Check Mode allows users to verify their own attempted answers. It is designed for self-assessment after you have tried the problem.
- We may record the proportion of time spent in each mode to encourage responsible use.
5.4 No Cheating Tool
Errly is designed to support learning, not to bypass academic integrity requirements. Users are responsible for complying with their school or institution’s policies.
6. Intellectual Property
- You retain ownership of the photos and content you upload.
- By uploading content, you grant us a limited license to process it for the purpose of providing the Services.
- AI-generated explanations are provided for your personal educational use. You may not resell, redistribute, or commercially exploit them without permission.
- All app code, designs, trademarks, and non-user content are owned by Errly or its licensors.
7. Disclaimers
- The Services are provided “as is” and “as available.”
- AI-generated explanations may occasionally contain errors. Always verify critical results with your instructor or a trusted source.

8. Limitation of Liability
To the extent permitted by law, Errly and its affiliates shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising out of your use of the Services. Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid for the Services in the 12 months preceding the claim, or $50 if you did not pay.
9. Termination
We may suspend or terminate your access to the Services if you violate these Terms or engage in fraudulent, abusive, or illegal activity. You may terminate your use at any time by deleting the app or your account.
10. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution
These Terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which Errly operates, excluding any conflict-of-law rules. Any disputes shall first be attempted to be resolved through good-faith negotiation. If unresolved, disputes may be submitted to binding arbitration or the courts of competent jurisdiction.
11. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by updating the “Last Updated” date and, where appropriate, through an in-app notice. Continued use of the Services after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
